YAF Leadership Retreats in Reagan Country

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library
(Simi Valley, CA)

While Reagan’s ranch is in Santa Barbara, California, a trip to Simi Valley will take you to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. The Library houses a museum that bears tribute to Reagan’s life from his Midwestern roots to his Hollywood days to his contributions to society as a political leader. You can even walk through the Air Force One that Reagan used during his eight years in office or read the love notes he wrote to his beloved wife Nancy.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, in Simi Valley, California, houses a piece of the Berlin Wall. Reagan was a leader who spoke boldly and with conviction: On June 12, 1987, he delivered a speech to the people of West Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate where he demanded, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

Rancho del Cielo
(Simi Valley, CA)

The Young America's Foundation (YAF) owns Reagan Ranch. They sponsored the St. Thomas Standard's Editor at several of their leadership retreats at the former president's retreat of choice, Rancho del Cielo. Please visit the YAF's website to learn more about Reagan Ranch and President Reagan.

Reagan signed the largest tax-cut in U.S. History at this table on his ranch patio on August 13, 1981.

Although several horses are still kept at Rancho Del Cielo, the burro, Wendy, is the only animal original to the Ranch. Wendy’s pasture is enclosed by a long wooden fence that Reagan built.
