Welcome back from Spring Break! While you were soaking up the sun and sipping drinks with umbrellas, the St. Thomas Standard went online! You can now find the current edition and all past issues of the St. Thomas Standard on our new website, www.stthomasstandard.org.
This new website will give you access to the St. Thomas Standard’s Editor-in-Chief and volunteer staff 24-7. We are at your fingertips! If you missed the print edition of the paper or if you want to view a past issue, stthomasstandard.org is the place to go!
Stthomasstandard.org will allow you to post comments to any of our articles or write letters to the Editor. You will also be able to find a list of available positions and ways to get involved with the St. Thomas Standard! Our website has a gallery that showcases our past events, such as our socials, speakers, golf tournament, and leadership retreats.
The St. Thomas Standard is actively recruiting students interested in positions as writers, editors, business manager, special events coordinator or golf committee members. Whether you want to express yourself in writing, organize and participate in social activities, throw a golf tourney with your friends or bring a big-name conservative speaker to St. Thomas like Sean Hannity, John Stossel, Star Parker, Michelle Malkin, Bay Buchanan or Jason Lewis, the St. Thomas Standard has got a spot for you!
Our website was made possible through the generous contributions of our donors. We are very grateful to all of these benefactors who believe in the St. Thomas Standard’s mission. Their gifts have made it possible for us to empower college students with continual and immediate access to intellectual diversity. Our website contains diverse, conservative viewpoints that students will be hard-pressed to find in many of their college classrooms.
Our staff has been working with the Bloomington-based design firm, August Ash, for the past several months to produce this new online portal for the paper. We were very pleased with August Ash’s ability to take our mission and content and transform it into an electronic medium. The St. Thomas Standard is now in its third year of print, and this website is a clear example of the paper’s success and progress. (Our website has more details on our mission, history, board and staff members.) We can only imagine what is in store for the future!
We are very excited for this new communication vehicle, and can’t wait to get your feedback! Log onto stthomasstandard.org today and let us know what you think. We value your opinion!
