Bravo!
After reading the St. Thomas Standard (and a well worthwhile reading) here are some comments: It is very intellectually stimulating, thought provoking, inspirational and a cause for reflective thinking and self-awareness. It is rekindling the flame of conscientious awareness in the community.
I am also pleased to see that you have chosen a quality artist, and I would love to see more of her work (hint, hint).

Hollywood Inspiration
I would like to share some inspirational information to follow up on Deacon Paul Jarvis’ article, “Hollywood Catholic Stereotypes Need Debunking,” in the February/March issue of the Paper, and especially his words, “What seems to be needed are creative practicing Catholics who can make it in Hollywood and, in spite of Hollywood, make a difference.”
There is a fine Christian program called Act One training Catholics and others to do just that! You can check out its website, www.actoneprogram.com, for more information.

Where did the December issue go?
I wanted to let all of you at the St. Thomas Standard know how much I enjoy your newspaper. I am very encouraged to see a conservative paper being published at St. Thomas. I don’t think most people realize how liberal the media is in their reporting, but because the media is so widespread they’ve never heard anything different.
I feel it is very important to report both sides of a story and let people make an informed decision. I am one of your readers who was wondering what happened to the December issue. What do you suppose the people who threw the papers in the trash were afraid of? I find that very interesting. Keep up the good work.

Editor’s Note: The St. Thomas Standard regrets the fact that many of its devoted readers missed the December issue of the Paper. Unfortunately, there seems to be a minority of closed-minded and spineless individuals at St. Thomas who decided to throw large stacks of the Paper in the trash, where they were discovered by a janitor. Don’t worry, the St. Thomas Standard, will continue to offer its readers the same opinionated, high-quality pieces of provoking thought as always.
